Vision

To be the reference curatorial house in the United States for native terroirs and low-intervention craft from Latin America.

Founder

Alex Gouveia

Founder & Managing Member

Alex Gouveia has spent more than thirty years in international business, building trade relationships across the Americas. His roots are in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, and he has kept long-standing relationships in Chile, with a cultural fluency that extends across Latin America.

Based in Austin, Texas, he brings to the house the disciplines that quietly decide whether a rare bottle ever reaches a table: sourcing, contracts, logistics and cross-border negotiation. They form the operational backbone of Maison Austral, and the reason producers can trust the house with their work.

How we are organized

A lean house by design. We work with licensed importer-of-record and compliance partners, temperature-controlled logistics specialists and independent trade representatives, so that every step from cellar to table is handled by specialists.
